Furniture retail companies offer different kinds of items that people can purchase readily from their stores. These products are already ready to use after purchasing. This company has been in the business of furniture retail since 1960 when Don and Bud, the original Mathis Brothers, established it in Oklahoma City. Their interests in the furniture industry were developed when they were helping in the furniture business of their parents. The Mathis Brothers were already also selling refurbished refrigerators to local appliance stores in the Oklahoma City area.  Even when they were just starting as a company, they were already offering customization to its growing clients. In this way, they were able to provide what their client really need for their home furniture. Even if there was a new set of Mathis Brothers owners around, furniture customizations are still being offered by the company. Bill and Larry, sons of Don Mathis, are the new owners.

Mathis Brothers Furniture has an exclusive design center where customers can talk with professional interior designers regarding their desired furniture design. The company has a complimentary design team that can help in personalizing the furniture. The appointments for Mathis Brothers Furniture’s design team are for free.

In its Oklahoma City stores, there are eight certified interior designers that have long experiences in this field. One of the furniture designers is Allen Roberts who has over 15 years of experience in sales and design with Mathis Brothers Furniture alone. Roberts is one of the most recent employees to be named to the Oklahoma City design team. Roberts’ well known designs are in Oklahoma’s Chickasaw Nation and the resort homes from Grand Lake to Colorado.

Another member of the company’s design team in OKC is Angela Davidson. Among the furniture designers of the design center, Davidson is its Senior Designer. Davidson holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Interior Design both coming from the University of Central Oklahoma. She is also certified by the American Society of Interior Designers. Two of Davidson’s most famous works were in The Make A Wish Foundation’s Concept Home and 35^th Annual Symphony Designers Show House.
